Open JSON Formatted Data in Excel

Download JSON data from HumanFirst tool#

You can download data from the HumanFirst studio by:

  • Exporting labelled data in a wide variety of formats: CSV, Cognigy, RASA, etc.
  • Downloading unlabelled data from your query using Data tab in a JSON

Currently you can't download unlabelled data in a CSV format, though this is coming soon.

The HumanFirst JSON format can be easily opened though using Excel and this guide describes how:

Steps#

  • Open a blank workbook
  • Go to Data -> Get Data -> From File -> From JSON
  • Click convert to table
  • Click the double arrowed button at the right side of value column and expand the column to rows
  • Again click the double arrowed button at the right side of value column and click ok
  • All the fields gets expanded.
  • Now do the same for context and metadata filed. Expand them.
  • Once all the fields are expanded, close and load the data.
  • Then save the data into excel or csv format.
